First Impressions
I can’t lie, I’m a sucker for good marketing and that's something that Betty’s Eddies does so well. I was drawn in by their colorful packaging and wide range of products that are designed for specific experiences. I settled with the Strawberry Betty’s Edibles from Maryland recreational dispensary, Haven MD, since it's one of my favorite candy flavors and reminds me of the salt water taffy I used to get as a kid on the boardwalk.
Genetics and Ingredients
These Strawberry Betty’s Eddies aren’t strain specific to my knowledge but the full spectrum blend of cannabis oil is great for anytime! My girlfriend loved seeing the natural ingredients, like tapioca starch and the organic freeze dried strawberries, however these aren’t sugar free if you are looking for that kind of thing.
Looks
The candies themselves are light pink in color and have a shiny look to them. The wrappers are labeled in a THC warning to make sure they are marked appropriately.
Scent
These smell great and a strawberry cream scent escapes the bag once it is cracked open.
Taste
The taste is similar to a freeze dried strawberry, which is part of the all natural ingredients. I can taste the quality and a slight weed taste but, it doesn't taste like processed candy and gives off freshly made candy store vibes.
Effects
A full spectrum cannabis extract is usually what I look for when I get edibles since they tend to be more effective for me than distillate edibles. I am happy to report that these provided me with a full body buzz that extended to my mind keeping my thoughts clear and passive. These gave me a solid few hours where I didn’t feel the need to remediate or start taking some dabs, which I tend to do if the effects aren’t there.
Final Thoughts
These Strawberry Betty’s Eddies check off a lot of boxes, and will easily be in my edible rotation for the foreseeable future. I’m also excited to see what other flavors are going to be released and to try out ones that have already been dropped. Until then, these Strawberry Betty’s Eddies get the Certified Stoner stamp of approval because life is definitely better with a Betty’s!
