First Impressions
I picked these Grape Fritter buds up from Maryland recreational dispensary, Dispensary Works, because of the reputation that Garcia Hand Picked continues to uphold in the Maryland cannabis market. Their cultivation is dialed in and the result is these beautiful trichome covered buds.
Genetics and Terpenes
The Grape Fritter strain is a result of crossing Apple Fritter and Grape Cream Cake that is indica leaning 60/40. The primary terpenes are limonene and A-pinene and this batch is 2.08% terpenes in total.
Looks and Structure
These buds look beautiful and are pretty chunky. The trichomes are thick and white which looks gorgeous up against the deep purple shades.
Scent
The aroma is dessert-like, similar to its parent Apple Fritter with a rich cakey undertone.
Taste
The flavor is initially rich and sweet that leads to an underlying grape-y-ness, while the exhale is enjoyably funky and earthy.
Effects
The Grape Fritter effects slowly crept up on me. An initial head rush gave way to a heavy body high that left me floating on cloud nine. Despite the heaviness, I was easily functional and didn't feel sedated. My appetite increased, but it wasn't the typical munchies; it was more of a steady hunger. Overall, the effects were pretty balanced, and I will gladly roll up some more Grape Fritter next time I have the chance.
Final Thoughts
I really enjoyed this Grape Fritter because the taste was smooth with no burn and the effects gave me the right equilibrium between relaxed and functional. While I didn’t get one big solid nug like my budtender mentioned is common for Garcia Hand Picked, these buds looked great and I’ll definitely be stopping back at Dispensary Works for some more! This Grape Fritter has the Certified Stoners stamp of approval so be sure to check it out!
