First Impressions
New York has always been the land where dreams come true, and the more that I learn about the New York cannabis market the more it intrigues me. I’m glad our New York team is working hard to find the best cannabis in the state and with a bunch of great options in the works, it was hard to pick which one to start with. Leading us to this Jelly Rancher, I actually wasn’t going to grab this until the budtender at NY recreational dispensary, The Flowery, recommended I check it out. Seeing these buds confirmed it, I would have been missing out if I never grabbed this batch!
Genetics and Terpenes
The Jelly Rancher strain is a result of crossing Notorious THC X Very Cherry that is sativa leaning 70/30. The dominant terpenes are limonene and beta-caryophyllene and this batch is 1.1% total terpenes.
Looks and Structure
Beautiful purple colored nugs with some shades of green mixed in and plenty of fuzzy trichomes and long orange pistils.
Scent
The jar smells like it's full of candy, the Jelly Rancher nugs are very savory and super fresh and a sweet mixed berry fragrance stuck to my fingers for a while after rolling up.
Taste
The inhales are so yummy from its heavy sweet candy flavor, the exhales are even super tasty and super terpy leaving a candy flavored coating in my mouth.
Effects
Jelly Rancher brought an energizing high that had me seeking out the company of social settings. The effects hit quickly, filling me with a burst of energy and a positive outlook where I found myself talkative and keenly focused on my surroundings. Laughter was flowing easily, and the vibes were as high as I was. This strain truly elevated my social interactions, making every moment more enjoyable and vibrant.
Final Thoughts
I didn’t want to put this strain down, especially because this strain stood out against all of the other New York samples from dispensaries that our team just went through. Candy isn’t my go to terp profile, but when it’s mixed with a strawberry and berry taste, like this Jelly Rancher, I become a kid in the candy store… quite literally. I’ll gladly give this Jelly Rancher the Certified Stoner stamp of approval and I can’t wait to go back to it!
