First Impressions
I’ve been told repeatedly that the best bang for your buck for quality and price is the Evermore line of live rosin and live resin carts. So, today I’m checking out this Sunset Octane Live Resin vape that I picked up from Maryland recreational dispensary, Dispensary Works, to see if the vape lives up to the hype but I already know that Sunset Octane is a fabulous strain so I’m expecting nothing but a great experience.
Genetics and Terpenes
The Sunset Octane strain is a result of crossing Sunset Sherb and High Octane OG BX3 that is sativa leaning 70/30. The dominant terpenes are limonene and b-myrcene and this batch is 12.46% total terpenes.
Looks and Hardware
This live resin has a great golden color and looks propper to me, these white vapes use ceramic AVD hardware.
Taste
The flavor on the inhale was somewhat lacking but similar to the Sherb in its lineage however, the exhale turned it on with a complex sweet but tart gassiness with a slight skunk bite.
Effects
Sunset Octane hit me with a wave of motivation right after my first few hits. My productivity skyrocketed, and I powered through my to-do list with ease. The focus it provided was impressive, making each individual task feel like a breeze. However, I did find it challenging to juggle multiple things at once. This sativa energy was invigorating but started to feel a bit too racy as time went on leading me to smoke something more relaxing and down to earth.
Final Thoughts
The accessibility and availability of good vapes in Maryland leaves you with a bunch of choices so that's where being the informed consumer pays off. I like this Sunset Octane vape because its live resin and actually gives me full spectrum effects that are potent and long lasting, something I struggle to find in distillate vapes.
